A fund supporting veterans and their families
The Walter Harris Callow Foundation honours the legacy of Walter Callow, a humanitarian and World War I veteran who invented the first wheelchair bus in Canada to serve the needs of veterans confined to Halifax’s Camp Hill Hospital. For more than 70 years, Callow Wheelchair Buses provided service to veterans and others with mobility challenges. The Foundation continues this legacy, supporting veterans, military, RCMP and their families in becoming engaged citizens in our society.
