T.S. Rosewater Fund

Author Kurt Vonnegut

The T. S. Rosewater Fund is named in honour of author Kurt Vonnegut, who recognized the foolishness of the human species and who wrote so eloquently and satirically about the harm we do to one another, to our planet, and to all its inhabitants. This fund has been established to try to help mitigate some of that damage and support initiatives that benefit the natural environment.

The T.S. Rosewater Fund assists those who are attempting to minimize or mitigate the effects of humans and their actions on the planet and its non-human inhabitants. In making disbursements, the committee shall grant to initiatives focused on land conservation, wildlife habitat protection, pollution mitigation, sustainable agriculture, and projects that address the causes and effects of climate change, including the support of registered charities that are involved in advocacy related to the environment and climate change.

If you wish to donate to the T.S. Rosewater Fund, donations of up to $500 can be made through the CanadaHelps donation form below.

For donations over $500, please contact the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia at accounting@cfns-fcne.ca.
