The Clarke Bursary

John and Joan Clarke attributed their success in life to both hard work and the well-rounded education they received at high school in Annapolis County.  They created this bursary to encourage graduates to continue their education and to show their appreciation to the school system.

The Clarke Bursary will be granted annually to a graduating student from Bridgetown Regional Community School who desires to further their studies at a post-secondary institution. The Clarke Bursary will be awarded to a well-rounded student who has earned the respect of their teachers and fellow students, has demonstrated a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated the important principles of good citizenship.

The Clarke Bursary will support students who are in good academic standing but are not necessarily at the top of their class, who not only work hard but see life as an adventure to be enjoyed.

The Clarke Bursary will be awarded to at least one student per year graduating from Bridgetown Regional Community School in the amount of $1,000.

Award winner(s) will be recommended by the Bridgetown Regional Community School Scholarship Committee and/or Administration. There is no application form.
