
Davin valued the connections and friendships he made within the rugby community. He is described by all who knew him as a selfless, kind, generous person who valued teamwork, integrity and respect, both on and off the field.
The Davin Moxsom Rugby Scholarship is awarded to a high school rugby team member from Dartmouth who best represents the qualities that Davin brought to the sport of rugby in Nova Scotia. The recipient of this award should demonstrate Davin’s personal qualities and involvement in the sport of rugby.
To be eligible for this award, applicants must be a Grade 12 student enrolled in a high school in Dartmouth and must be a member of one of the high school rugby teams. The applicant must be planning to attend a post-secondary university or community college.
This scholarship will be judged on the following:
Eligible applicants will be reviewed and chosen by a committee comprised of at least five people; one coach of the Dartmouth High School Rugby team, two members of the family of Davin Moxsom and two other members, in accordance with the eligibility criteria described above. The Community Foundation of Nova Scotia shall provide an oversight role in ensuring that the eligibility and selection criteria are met. The award will be presented to the successful recipient by the family of Davin Moxsom at the students’ high school graduation ceremony.
