For young people living with cystic fibrosis
Established to honour the legacy of a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, the Chantelle Lindsay Legacy Fund is intended to provide educational scholarships for students and support organizations championing healthy living for young Nova Scotians living with cystic fibrosis (CF).
Chantelle was a beautiful, happy, and carefree young woman who always had a smile on her face. She enjoyed many sports including hockey, lacrosse, and soccer. This fund carries on Chantelle’s commitment to active living by supporting education and participation in hockey, horseback riding, swimming, soccer, dance, and more for young people with CF.
The fund will disburse awards to charities and other qualified donees who are actively enabling young people with CF to advance their education, keep their lungs healthy, and get involved in active living opportunities. Typically there will be at least one scholarship awarded annually; however, the donor reserves the right to give this scholarship on a more or less frequent basis as income levels and the Foundation permit.
To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be a Nova Scotian student with cystic fibrosis who is pursuing post-secondary education. Candidates will be adjudicated on the basis of financial need and the extent to which they embody Chantelle’s courageous and determined spirit.
The deadline for applications is August 5.
